If you need to make very quick a small application and you are new than Grails is great, it helps you a lot

@romerican if you remember I told you about Grails few weeks ago, and yes it is a great way to do your job: easier and faster

I use Java occasionally and I find it very accessible..... but that may be because I work all day with C#

@claudeb I think Java is much easier than C++ because it has a very good memory management
