@evan we want notices to be public but we dont want rogue robots/computer programs to scrape the site using the DB id. Its a loop hole.

@evan Do you expect every publisher that uses statusnet to use creative commons. Exposing db ids is never a good idea. My 2 cents.

@evan Its a problem because someone could write a script and start iterating from 1 to the current count and extract your entire db.
