Hey! Looking for an old !Asimov story I read about 15 years ago. Think it was one of !Asimov's earlier stories: man discovers he's an android. Has punched tape in his chest full of nearly microscopic holes. Each tiny hole represented a different part of his reality. As holes were covered, parts of his reality were destroyed. As holes were opened, new items in his reality he never new existed appeared. In the end I believe he opened up all the holes and achieved ultimate consciousness. ……… Does this sound familiar to anyone? Google Book Search hasn't been much help. :-) Would love to read the story again.
