The Tubby Factor Project is a community project to detect subclinical atherosclerosis in adults. CAC (calcium score) was provided free of charge to volunteers who did not have a history of coronary heart disease or stroke. This presentation to the participants of the project explains the science behind this aggressive approach to prevent heart disease and stroke at an early stage. The participants were encouraged to come to me with any questions after the CAC was done and future talks were planned once everyone had their CAC done.
