Weird to not see any real reference to Doctor Who at the Olympic Opening Ceremonies given it's impact on British culture in the last 49 years. Seems like somebody could have at least put a blue police box in the background somewhere instead of just burring a 3 second soundbite in the middle of a Queen song.
