The comments about trusting the founder resonate with me. A while ago I wrote, "In fact, part of the appeal of StatusNet, as both a company and software, is that they encourage you to not trust them." (http://interi.org/2011/02/why-would-you-trust-twitter/) When I heard of App.net I couldn't believe anyone would buy into that. It seems really naive. Maybe I should get into the "ask for money" business.
