@kklimonda I use 128MB of swap with a customised 'lowmemkiller'. 32MB works alright w/ swappiness at 40-50 otherwise. (basically essential)

@gdaniele firerat's patch can fix that, as a userinit.d script but needs to be reapplied every flash

@fabsh with froyo I suppose android is at the point where it's very powerful w/o root... had to root my G1 to get another year out of it.
