The little one is a month old today, and I keep thinking it can't have been more than a week since she was born.

Ah, sweet, elusive sleep. I stole a nap after work this afternoon; the baby isn't sleeping so well this week.

Feeling slightly underprepared for dealing with the wife's postpartum emotions. All I can do is give her a hug and send her to take a bath.

Lunchtime. Sitting in my kitchen I found my 5 favorite ladies on the planet - 4 generations of my family (grandma, mom, sis, wife, and baby)

Coming back to work after a week off for paternity made me realize how much I had needed that break!

The baby, at 7 days old, slept through the night last night. I can only hope we are so lucky again tonight.

I suppose I have to go back to work sometime. Right?

Life with the little one is harder and easier than I ever imagined it would be.

OK, we're home now, very glad to be. The baby is doing great, healthy as a horse, only waking up once each night to eat.

It's a girl! Katherine Grace was born today at 4:28pm by C-section. She's 7lb,6oz, measuring 20.5 inches.

So the hospital has wireless internet. So far no baby, but we're making progress. They'll check on us at noon and maybe help us along a bit.

The doctor appointment went well today, we're still all set to induce tomorrow. Gosh, this time tomorrow I'll be a dad.

No baby yet. If she's not here today, they induce tomorrow morning bright and early. As in like 5AM.

My wife is having frequent contractions, but she tells me she's not in labor. How does she know? She's never been in labor before.

Our car has been in the shop since Thursday because of a tiny part they accidentally broke. The replacement is taking forever to arrive.
