Other magazines (and some bloggers) use Twitter and Identica to share links to every new post. Should qarrtsiluni do the same?

@qarrtsiluni Nope. Feeds good, micro-b/c/logging bad. I like the news updates and heterogeneous titbits.

@qarrtsiluni I tend to get annoyed at posted links. I think I'm agreeing with @loopy.

@bluegrasspoet @loopy A follower on Twitter suggests we post a list of the lastest authors every few days. (Once a week=best, but in 140?)

@qarrtsiluni @loopy Suggestion noted but no really intelligent reply comes to mind. What about using micro-quotes?

@bluegrasspoet @loopy You mean a brief quote from each new post? You wouldn't mind that kind of daily plug?

@qarrtsiluni No, I mean the stuff unrelated to individual posts you already do. I wouldn't like a daily duplication of s-thing in my feed.

@qarrtsiluni Agree w/ @loopy @bluegrasspoet Random is better than regular. (Listed? Nice 4 authors but annoys.) Cool occasional quote fab.

@stoney @bluegrasspoet There's a suggestion (on the other m-blogging platform) of having a separate automated feed for @qarrtsiluni posts.

@loopy @bluegrasspoet Yeah, but it might not happen if we can't get twitterfeed.com to work.

@loopy @stoney @bluegrasspoet Twitterfeed.com doesn't seem to work with !identica since the upgrade to StatusNet.

@loopy @stoney @bluegrasspoet Then again, an automated feed seems more like a # thing, doesn't it?

@qarrtsilunifeed Yup to t-thang. If must have regurgitated feed then separate ID is a boon. I won't subscribe because like reader better.

@bluegrasspoet @stoney @qarrtsiluni As I understand it the post-to-dent feed can't be automated using identi.ca but can using twitter.

@loopy @stoney @bluegrasspoet Automation attractive b/cuz posting process already complicated--indices to update, manual socmed icon-links.

@qarrtsiluni You'd give folks options. Always (usually!) the best idea in a compromise.

@qarrtsiluni It *wold* be an interesting experiment, i.e., how many subscribe to @qarrtsilunifeed . Are read feeder stats available?

@stoney Sorry, missed that question earlier. Yes, twitterfeed apparently gives stats on click-through for each link.

@loopy Since we're on WordPress.com, no plugins, therefore everything must be done manually: author tag links, index, soc. med. buttons.

@qarrtsiluni @loopy Being on WordPress.com different from installing WordPress on your server?

@bluegrasspoet Hugely different, more restrictive. It's a WordPress MU set-up. Admin controls all the plugins. All we can do is edit CSS.
