@mastermark well, we are using the twitter-compatible API identi.ca has. every laconi.ca site that supports can basically be supported

@mastermark both the API + twhirl need some additions to make it work everywhere. and also once OpenMicroblogging works, it'll be easier

@mastermark doing XMPP is even easier in general, but it only supports getting realtime dents from your followings. everything else is API
