Is there a way to do automatic selection and installation of packages on !ubuntu? I'd like to install all my apps after clean Karmic install

@mehor run dpkg --get-selections on current system. On the clean system use --set-selections !ubuntu

@mehor note down their package names, then after install open a terminal and type: sudo apt-get install pkg1 .. pkgN !ubuntu

@ruiseabra Thanks. Just learned another way: "dpkg --get-selection" to get the whole list, and "dpkg --set-selection" to install from it.
