@dobey The term "social media" is rather well known but perhaps not so well defined, that I know. I think you gave me a good place to start.

@dobey Are you referring to the fact that the maker of an interface is communicating something to a user?

@dobey Alright, but that is a different type of interaction. The info I'm looking for is on internet mediated human to human interaction.

@dobey Ok I agree, the name "social media" is bad when it only refers to (new) media on the internet. To me it is broader as well.

@dobey It is a protocol, and it is also a medium that allows for the existence of many other mediums. Yes, that is a good goal.
