My current trick for getting around, um, yeah... writer's block: I write the last paragraph first, and basically work backwards.

@erican That might be a good way to do it. I usually get bored after a few paragraphs going forward. I'll try the reverse.

@t3knomanser Makes sense. This method lets me switch from beginning to end, making progress wherever I can. Kind of nasty for revision, tho.

@t3knomanser All tricks only work temporarily for me. I always have to come up with new ones. They expire once my brain gets wise to them.

@erican I'm really bad at first drafts. I can't force myself to just vomit up words and edit later. I constantly edit, and that's boring.

@t3knomanser Revision is the worst for me. I'm always totally sick of something by the time I get through revision. It's boring (and slow).
