     @davidfoley I see the logic of keeping it a CD. !Ubuntu strives for highest compatibility, and everything has CD. DVD, not so much.

     @colindean: I know that, and it's a noble idea. They could keep the CD & the create DVD edition with the most commonly downloaded packages.

     @collindean:DVDs would maximise the value of the physical distribution of discs, if someone has a DVD reader, you could put 4GB in the post
