     @evan btw, you can ignore Ticket #914 on Trac. It's because basic authentication is broke when PHP is CGI rather than an apache mod.

     @evan Could the URLs in @-responses sent via XMPP be the "in reply to" links? That would help for context sometimes I think. #identica.

     @happily git is not unlike darcs -- pretty similar, actually. Major difference I've noticed is branches w/in a repo.

     @evan git-daemon is definitely the way to go, git over http requires you to do some fiddling when you push to the published repository
