      @cabrey , openSUSE without any doubt. DELL Studio 15 runs flowless.

      @cabrey #opensuse is another good option for !KDE. It has #chromium in a buildservice repo

      @cabrey You won't go too far wrong with either, !archlinux has Chromium in !aur as well. I prefer Arch with the latest !kde myself.

      @sheepeh Tried Chakra?

      @dandart Briefly, there's nothing wrong with it as far as I can tell - even the installer worked for me fine. I just ended up as Arch last.

      @sheepeh Since it is Arch, I thought it's be a quicker KDE solution. In fact when all my machines break from too much Ubuntu I'll add Chakra

      @dandart It's a worthwhile choice. I liked the Build It Yourself aspect of Arch, and it's unscientific but I saw more crashes with KDEMod.

      @sheepeh Buiding it myself has been difficult since I have a crap Internet connection but can download ISOs at libraries.

      @dandart Also I noticed Chakra has newer stuff - their Choqok is the one from Arch's [Testing] so I assume they enable [Testing] by default.

      @sheepeh No, just the kde parts they pulled. I don't think testing is default because the kernel is quite old.

      @dandart Fair enough, I didn't test extensively. I may give Chakra a fairer shake if I break Arch, especially once it matures.

      @dandart I've only been using Arch for a week or two, so I wanted to make sure any errors were my fault rather than Chakra's differences.

      @sheepeh Well I thought so anyway. Yeah, that's a fair test. I think the only differeces are KDEmod and Shaman, right?

    • Carl Morgan Carl Morgan Dan Dart

      @dandart I think the main difference is the installer, Tribe. And how it sets it up. You can easily install KDEMod & Shaman in Arch.

      @sheepeh KDEMod is a repo started by Chakra, so yeah.
