   I hate !ubuntu's stupid message indicators. They are the exact opposite of 'useful'. Being thanked for removing them on each install I touch

     @jamal "Messaging" apps are not special. An app that needs attention is just another app. No need for yet another launch/notify mechanism.

     @gabe That is true, but I find it useful to be notified when an app needs my attention rather than having to frequently check.

     @gabe I was wondering if that's what you were talking about. I agree on that then. I would much rather it be highlighted in the dock/panel.
