@mikankun I've used Gwibber, but only on my netbook, and it won't post there. Probably because of the auto-maximizer; prevents windowing

@mikankun I should probably give Emacs a good try someday. Maybe today. Right now..."sudo apt-get install emacs"

@decodedthought nothing much to say except it's simple, fast, and works well. If you have emacs open most of the day like me you'll love it.

@iyunkateus once you get used to using emacs everything else feels like a downgrade in terms of functionality

@decodedthought depends. What DE? Choqok is good for KDE, and I hear that Gwibber is a fine client under Gnome. !identica !linux

@decodedthought of course, either client will work in the other DE, and there are other possibilities, but these seem to be common ones.

@decodedthought Ah I think I had a problem like that. I think it was a x-terminal-emulator bug

@skreech2 I left !KDE thinking my VIA unichrome onboard GPU wasn't supported !! how did u go abt. getting it to work?

@decodedthought I symlinked x-terminal-emulator to xterm. Did you check ~/.xsession-errors for any significant errors? !kdehelp

@skreech2 since kde didn't work on any of the KDE basd distro's i thought my VIA onboard GPU wwas obsolete !! and gave up using KDE :(
