   !linux Sorry for asking so many questions, but date +'%b %_d %Y %H:%M:%S' doesn't format the day correctly when it's backticked. Why?

     @iyunkateus $(date +'%b %_d %Y %H:%M:%S') will work if you're assigning it to a variable.

     @iyunkateus Turns out you have to put it in quotes to preserve spaces: echo "`date +'%b %_d %Y %H:%M:%S'`"
