   @dominkh don't get me wrong. !thunderbird is one helluva mail client. you just need to iron out the quirky defaults. :)

     @eightyeight just checked the creation wizard, indeed only prompts for user and passwd. who would not check out the account options then ;)

     @jeremyvisser hah! that and checking for new mail in all imap folders instead of just the inbox
