    Looking for a new !linux based phone. Anyone has hands-on experience with N900, Droid or Nexus phone? Any other suggestions?

      @ve2dmn we have a few droids in my lab at WUT, those are pretty closed - problems with access to root, fs without /home AFAIK

      @ve2dmn have seen the droid and n900 in person. Both vry nice. n900 is bulkier, better kybd, worse screen, but more features, std linux env

      @ve2dmn #Android is just barely "Linux". Doesn't have glibc, gcc, etc. #N900's #Maemo has apt-get, other common tools. I have one; love it.

      @ossguy android is Linux alright. It's just not GNU/Linux. As it turns out, the kernel isn't the thing we mean when we refer to Linux boxes
