@millette "Poster" does it.

#isummit08 Another good session would be on discussing CC jurisdiction prioritization on increasing license usage
-
@rejon when's lunch at the isummit?
-
@evan I believe at 12:30...need to restart with hash tags working?
-
@rejon Exactly. I don't want to bust up the flow, but it's overdue.
-
@evan: PUSH IT REAL GOOD
-
@evan not sure that there is an alternative to "envoyer".
-
so that is in 1.5 hours @evan
-
@rejon are you sure? My clock says that 12:30 Sapporo time is in half an hour.
-
yah, I think fine @evan
-
@evan Ooops, I'm on china time...which is 1 big time zone which I like...
-
@evan Sapporo, really? )-: Come down to Benelux for good beer! (-: I'll be here for another hour, at least.
-
@seancoates har! No, Sapporo, Japan, where the iSummit is happening.
-
@karlw3c I need a word or something to put on the "Send" button in identi.ca. "Envoyer" is too big, overflows. Hack b4 fixing layout.
-
@evan ah. guess it's obvious I'm a beer geek, then (-:
-
@evan As someone mentioned earlier, "Go" could be a good alternative for now.
-
@evan cool you are using my cclanguage code? I need to release that...
-
@evan what about the noun. "Envoi"
-
@millette c'est aline mon nom (:-))
-
@evan if you want to use "poster" Then it has to be "Postez" = Send i.e. Imperative form. (Poster = To Send)
-
@karlw3c Reeeeallly? I'm totally at a loss to understand why "Envoyer" would work but not "Poster".
-
@evan For envoyer, you would have to use Envoyez ;)
-
@evan "Poster" does work. Envoyer = Send, and Poster = Post/Posting.
-
@evan "Envoi" seems a good equivalent to "envoyez/r"
-
@evan sending in ~ envoi
-
@vincent :) can gmail be wrong ;) I'm French. I can assure you, that Envoyer (= to send) is the infinitive form, and not an action.
-
@millette je t'ai bien cité? :p
-
@karlw3c But isn't the infinitive used occasionally where the imperative would be? Short for, I dunno, "Pour *poster*, veuillez appuyer ici"
-
@evan résolument "envoi", concis et sans ambiguité
-
@vincent le mieux c'est pas forcément gmail pour vérifier la traduction...je veux pas être mauvaise langue, mais bon :-)
-
@karlw3c effectivement...
-
@karlw3c French is also my 1st language, but envoyez doesn't sound right to me, I might be wrong though. I'll take a look at other sites. :)
