      @darkhole Yes, that sometimes happens.

      @darkhole Yes! And same with Epiphany.

      @gdk Mmm, seems to be a problem with #webkit then.

      @stemp @darkhole You mention Epiphany but that must be 2.28.x then. 2.29.x suffers the same problem.

      @darkhole Google Chrome works fine. I suspect #Webkit though. Is Chrome using another version of Webkit?

      @darkhole I find that odd because #Midori is probably the fastest for me on Ubuntu.

      @gdk : nope, tested with epiphany 2.29.6 it's not as smooth as firefox but far better than midori on my home page.

      @stemp On my computer it's equally bad in both browsers. And they both use the same version of #Webkit. It started after !Identi.ca 0.9rc1.

      @gdk : could you try with GtkLauncher ? Is it also bad ?

      @stemp Don't have that app but I installed Arora (QT browser) and there it is fine but Arora uses an older version of #Webkit.

      @gdk : what distro are you using ? in Debian/Ubuntu it's installed with webkit /usr/lib/webkit-1.0-2/libexec/GtkLauncher

      @stemp Seems to be the same. Processor goes to 80% when scrolling in both GTKLauncher and Epiphany.

      @gdk : So you're right it's a Webkit performance bug. Even if I only really feel it with midori.

      @stemp Question is, what triggered it in #Identi.ca?

      @gdk : I don't know, I'm still trying to find other sites with the same behavior

      @stemp Brainbird.net is running fine in Epiphany. So I guess it's an !Identica problem, maybe !CSS related.

      @darkhole It's a CSS problem. Removing -webkit-box-shadow on #content fixes the issue.
