I see the #hashtag subscription #featurerequest http://laconi.ca/PITS/00464 as allowing subbed #'s to hit your stream. replying adds #.

@kshep I know, that's awesome! Still, if there's a new identi.ca app in town (as there evidently is with rssdent) I want to know about it!
-
@exador23 "language is open source" - I like that! :) If I could favorite posts on identi.ca, I'd fave that one. Hope we'll get that soon!
-
@forteller in the meantime, I'm curious to play around w/ #star or #fave and http://identi.ca/notice/215501 until we get accurate (irt...)
-
@exador23 Was just thinking the same thing. There's nothing preventing somebody from using a "fake" user as a sort of group/hashtag.
-
@exador23 I've been thinking about a personal RSS feed for tracks (to pick up the ones I miss when offline). Would that be useful?
-
@dustin alas I only know basics of what RSS does. I do not use it myself, I keep things simple. so I can't answer that question.
-
@dustin The personal RSS feed for tracks would be useful, but I'm already subscribed to RSS feeds for searches. Same thing?
-
@exador23 Basically, I want an RSS feed of every message I'm interested in (in addition to seeing them happen live).
-
@marinamartin Sort of...not exactly. Unified management. You track something here, your feed just works. :)
-
@dustin I'd prefer it that way, yes. Tracking is hugely important to me (and lots of others I've talked to).
-
@dustin What say we skip the hacks and build something general? :-) Incoming XMPP, RSS -> filters -> your choice of XMPP, RSS, or SMS?
-
@dustin And email tracks, too, if I'm writing a wish list. Hacked one together through Twitter when their tracks worked, back when.
-
@dustin ...or email, per @marinamartin. With groups, schedules, control whatever client you've got... like GrandCentral for your data.
-
@kshep You're pretty much describing what I've built. :) Just need to write the RSS component - maybe email (though I won't use it).
-
@dustin It's not in Ruby, is it? X-( ;-)
-
@kshep Heh. Yeah, it's mostly ruby. It's well componentized such that modules can be written in different languages.
-
@dustin been mostly offline over weekend, so missed replies. Thanks for sorting. Calmed down now. You're doing great work. Bugs is bugs!
-
@marinamartin says that federation is working across laconi.ca instances. Is this true? If so, are there docs saying how to do it?
-
@alexbellinger Thanks. I appreciate your patience. Can't learn if nothing's broken...
-
@dave Just replied to your post. I'm successfully getting messages on identi.ca from grupr.us (@dacort's), for one.
-
@dave It's basically user by user connections. From one instance you can subscribe to a user on another.
-
@dave Note how http://identi.ca/dacort and http://grupr.us/dacort have 2 diff streams, both subscribe to identi.ca/marinamartin though
-
@kshep. it looks like the replies tab has an RSS feed. so if @hashtag replies were auto-posted by @hashtag.... maybe?
-
@dave I'm subscribed to you from both my identi.ca and waka.me account, but had to reply to you here because remote replies don't yet work.
