     @chriswaterguy maybe not in the same class of usefulness but slock is a really simple screen locker (I'm not a fan of xscreensaver *at all*)

     @richardmarquez @dread slock looks good - a very !LightLinux screen locker. Took a while to realize there's no prompt - just type in pwd.

     @mjjzf I like the tip to put "dmenu_run -v" in the startup script so it's fast from the first time it runs in a new session
