    Any new interesting email clients around on !GNU / !Linux? I am using !Claws and love it, but it tends to hang on IMAP access. Need snappy.

      @mjjzf over the years I tried some, finally I returned to Thunderbird and mutt over SSH on my mobile (faster than other build in stuff)

      @mjjzf You can't use IMAP and 'snappy' in the same sentence. :) I use Evolution and it's fine (4 IMAP accounts), but I keep my inbox small.

      @gomerx Have you tried Alpine?

      @michaelsandahl I prefer mutt, but haven't bothered to set it up. Does Alpine do IMAP natively?

      @gomerx Yes. I access my Gmail through IMAP on Alpine. Plus you can add other mailboxes. It's been awhile since I set it up.

      @mjjzf I move from #Thunderbird to #Evolution. #Claws is VERY nice, but Im happy (by now) with all the Evolution suite.

      @mjjzf Don't know about new. But I've been using Evolution for years and with IMAP too. Works for me.

      @pisco @tvmanukrishnan I am having issues with Thunderbird, because the attachment field gets huge on my 1024x768 screen - bit.ly/tb-att

      @mjjzf #alpine works well if it is configured well.

      @pisco Only to a certain point, then it snaps down and stops showing the panel, which is fine; but it does the wide panel again next time.

      @mjjzf !gnu / !linux if you like the console, alpine could be a great option, or thunderbird if you have gtk
