    I think we need a FLOSS federated Gowalla/Foursquare alternative, nice side-effect could be: it generates CC-licensed POIs...

      @fabsh @rkallensee I think FLOSS people are more privacy concearned to be publishing where they are all the time, dont u think?

      @gabrielsaldana That's right, privacy features are a must-have.

      @gbraad XMPP really seems to be a good way to do that. I'll look for Buddycloud, sounds interesting...

      @frakturfreak Yes. But for example Gowalla is more than mere geolocation...

      @gabrielsaldana @rkallensee I am a F/OSS person and I love Gowalla. That's a totally false generalisation.

      @frakturfreak Yeah, the phoneme exists. It's just it was never in the language originally so it looks... *different*. :)

      @fabsh It’s a grapheme in this caſe.

      Thursday, 11-Mar-10 20:29:41 UTC
    • Fabian Scherschel Fabian Scherschel frakturfreak

      @frakturfreak Yeah, well... The grapheme doesn't exist in English traditionally, though. The sound does, not the character. :)

      @frakturfreak But not in English usage. Blackletter isn't Fraktur after all, right?

      @fabsh In deed, there alſo is Rotunda, Textura and Schwabacher not to mention penmanſcript like Kurrent und Sütterlin.

      @fabsh Blackletter was alſo uſed in Engliſh printing, juſt take a look at the King James Bible in original printing.

      @frakturfreak Yes, my point. Blackletter doesn't have that character!
