   I'm wondering if 1 GB is enough RAM for a netbook to run !KDE (plasma-netbook)

     @ungethym Yes. My full !KDE desktop uses >400MB, easily enough legroom on this 1GB netbook.

     @seawolf really? my !kde desktop uses about 1GB - it used to use >1GB but new Amarok seems to need less resouces :)

     @rrh Yep, Choqok, Kopete, Opera & the 30MB Rythmnbox (+ python) playing = 530MB/1GB. Huh.

     @ungethym I think 1GB is enough. At least is what I'm using right now with KDE4. Even with virtualbox open is doing it right.

     @ungethym I'm on 400Mb with Choqok, Firefox, Thunderbird and KDEnLive running. Laptop has 1Gb and I've yet to hit the limit.

     @ungethym I should think so. KDE runs happily in a VM with 512M.

     @ungethym That should do easy. My macbook with 1G is comfortably running KDE. OOo/Firefox are best to avoid, though.

     @rrh the more you have running, the more RAM you'll need. For just a few apps at a time on the netbook, 1GB can work.
