Do I need to stretch out the time that tags stay relevant? #oscon08 is gone, #linuxworld is dwindling, even #poetry is disappearing.

@evan as long as people talk about something, isn't it relevant? maybe combine # of mentions and time elapsed since mentioned

@johndrinkwater Each notice is valued with decreasing exponential value, exp(-age/10 days). Tag weight is sum of all notices with the tag

@evan I'd go with multiple view of tags... top all time, relevant past X days, etc. look to how others do it as well

@evan or anyone else know why notices/new?status_textarea=mymessage would give a No such user errror? Is there another &variable I can pass?

@evan I think you have to strongly consider doing something forceful about rsseo. I.e. removing for bad behaviour. It pollutes the network.

@whisperwind No, it won't! The DB can only handle 140 bytes, so mb_strlen() would be wrong. Need to fix the DB, and it's a big job.

@evan, we can do alter tables script, but I don't know if it can be run on the serves and how long time it'll take but I think UTF8 is good
