@greggish Interesting. Webfinger/ostatus will let you address a cross-site user with just 1 @ followed by username, example @shitmydadsays

@greggish Thought that to reply to a remote !sn user it had to be of the form @something@something & that just @something defalted to local.

@greggish except you follow just the federated user, then #SN figures it out correctly - judging from my limited experience...

@bavatar I see. !sn only knew about shitmydadsays.com because I was already subscribed. If I'm subd to both does it default to local for @ ?

@greggish I've no clue which on is used then, I guess the last subscribed (but that's just guessing), or the one are just answering

@greggish I think if you are subscribed to a local @-name, it defaults to that. When I try @laibcoms it does that, not sending to my SN

@bavatar So how do I send an @ message to shitmydadsays.com from !identica without being subd? I could do that for others using a double @.

@bavatar shitmydadsays.com is the first !sn site where the user's homepage is just the straight domain & not this@that.com or this.com/that.

@greggish That is because it's a payed account. Everyone can use their own domain if they pay... ;)

@bavatar But that may be only because that sender was already subscribed.
