@jayridge remote subscribe when you have an account on the system seems like an edge case -- just for people like you, testing.
-
@evan both of those widgets are totally JavaScript-dependent and thus NOT totally accessible; nifty but at least alternative would be needed
-
@jayridge also, if you're going to make a public site, could you please use the default theme? Or make your own? It's confusing for people.
-
@evan what about Epiware? http://www.epiware.com
-
@marjoleink The alternative already exists: type in your profile URL.
-
@evan that is not suggested by https://www.idselector.com/site/how_it_works - is there working example somewhere?
-
@marjoleink I want to have a *similar* widget for Laconica remote subscriptions.
-
@evan Getting OpenID authentication failed: Server denied check_authentication since upgrade. Trying to debug.
-
@evan, I'm sure it can be done and keep it accessible - just an ordinary select - and prettied up with JS: progressive enhancement is key
-
@evan Am running OpenID 2.1.1
-
@ahynes1 Gotta go pick up my daughter, but I'll help you debug later.
-
@evan Voted for your panel. Looks to be a good one!
-
@evan Thanks.
-
@evan Remote subscription with identi.ca gives a request token error. Know issue?
-
@marjoleink So, maybe have a drop down of N popular sites that support OMB? Could be useful.
-
@evan - say I have an account on myproject.com/mublog, and on identica. [cont'd]
-
@evan [cont'd] I want to get your updates at myproject.com, and here, so i can respond from either context.
-
@workingwriter no... need something local that we can tag files on a file server, then search. Simple version control would be a plus.
-
@evan, yes, something like that - the IDselector is Ajax, the list is pulled from the service; but you could generate HTML select with PHP
-
@evan and then add some CSS + JS on top of that
-
@evan i like the #-feature :D
-
@steveivy Building UI for that edge case seems overcomplicated, esp. given that there's an easy workaround (just log out).
-
@bleeper Seems sporadic, don't know why it's happening. Also: you really, really, really have to provide source for your changes. ASAP.
-
@bleeper what's your account on bleeper.de? I want to subscribe.
