@robconnolly Easiest way is to edit /etc/xorg.conf you know. What layout would you like?
-
@cpf I've added some stuff in there folowing the instructions on the wiki. It seemed to be working last night but not today. Keyboard is gb.
-
@robconnolly Perhaps you're doing something wrong? Does setxkbmap gb work?
-
@cpf yes it does. my xorg.conf is here: http://svn.webworxshop.com/files/xorg.conf
-
@robconnolly Unless you disabled hotplugging, I think you're better off looking at /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-keymap.fdi
-
@cpf If you mean as in at http://ur1.ca/uzxv that was the first thing I tried.
-
@robconnolly Hmm, well, than I don't really know why your keyboard isn't the correct layout :( Try hitting the #arch forums?
-
@cpf yeah, might give that a try. Thanks for your help though!
-
@robconnolly is KEYMAP="uk" in rc.conf ?? Sorry if youve answered this, joined your issue rather late in the day ...
-
@corris Yes it was, though I think I just fixed it. Thanks anyway!
-
@robconnolly What was the issue / how did you fix ???
-
@robconnolly Defaults are *always* a PITA - installer should offer keymap choice and that's it, done period ....
-
@robconnolly Np, glad you found it. Your xorg was just fine :)
-
@corris Yeah, it would make things easier.
-
@cpf Thanks. It was really weird, until decided to look at the XFCE prefs.
