@gentlemandad It's a very high quality product, in demand by lots of customers, and it costs them nothing. How could it not make money?

@arnebab well obviously. but given they're not selling the software, I'm trying to understand how they're making money.

@gentlemandad By selling support, maintenance, specific add-ons/drivers/stuff dedicated to the client or software running on the plateform.

@gentlemandad they are selling the software, they just don’t forbid you to copy it. And they sell support and handbooks.
