@timbl Great to see you here! :)
-
@timbl welcome to the microblogging world.
-
@njg234908 Ah, British understatement. Worth its weight in... well, a really quite nice sort of paper. :P
-
@jimh ummm FOAF as well as RDF? All FOAF is RDF. You mean there is FOAF RDF as well as RSS RDF?
Sam Pablo Kuper likes this. -
@timbl sorry, yeah, there's various RDF docs available including FOAF i.e. http://identi.ca/timbl/foaf
-
@timbl Wow. Hi. Glad to have you here! We do RDF for feeds (RSS 1.0) and for social data (FOAF). I'd love to hear your ideas.
-
@timbl Maybeidenti.ca should stream json too (!yahoo pipes does it)
-
@timbl The RSS 1.0 data is also augmented with some SIOC terms
-
@johnbreslin Ah, great. And tx for pointing out the in-reply-to link -- I am new at this. So tweets have some metadata not inline.
-
@timbl we also support some #microformats in notices; @csarven is interested in adding #rdfa, also.
-
@timbl Here's the DB schema for Laconica notices. There's a decent amount of metadata in there. http://pastebin.ca/1407391

@cydeweys re http://pastebin.ca/1407391 -- Interesting
-
@cydeweys To Webize something, turn all integer IDs into URIs and see what happens :)
Greg K Nicholson and Cyde Weys like this. -
@timbl All the integer ids can be transformed into URIs by treating them as a relative reference, in effect, using suitable base URIs.
-
@dwd True, but when a remote use makes a comment in reply to remote message it is no longer local, so you have to store the URI.
-
@timbl For a little more clarification, I've added the reply table. Still all integers though; no URLs. Drat. http://pastebin.ca/1407394
