And ... here I am! I wonder if identi.ca will auto-correct people when they misspell the word "colour"? :)

@drfyzziks - if you all up there north of the border would just spell "color" the way we do here, there would be no issue! :-)
-
@danyork, i don't see the joy in identi.ca. how's it different from twitter?
-
@danyork Lol. Some Australians I know will back me up on the whole "colour" thing. I think you know them... ;)
-
@evanwolf identica is immaterial, even their supplier; it is proof that each of us can be running our own twitter and still realize Twitter
-
@aswath identi.ca's not doing it for me.... Nothing quite matches Twitter (other than the uptime and func being enabled of everything else)
-
@gianouts that may be true today; but you can't discount the implications of autonomous "twitter" ...
-
@gianouts back to Internet's roots - there is no need for a middle
-
@aswath Will see how this pans out. Hmmm reminds me, I should have a look back at Plurk and see what's going on.
-
@aswath because going email to SMS, you lose available SMS characters. Same with going the other way.
-
@phoneboy It looks like I lose 4 chars while sending email to SMS. For me it is worth avoiding SMS gateway
-
@aswath it's worse going the other way. Depends on how much crap your carrier ads to the message (AT&T ads a lot).
-
@evanwolf We're looking for higher reliability, I suspect, and that alone would distinguish identi.ca from Twitter.
-
@evanwolf 1. no FailWhale 2. it's open microblogging, not a proprietary platform 3. it has exponential growth potential into other platforms
