@bkuhn @fsf Why isn't the link to the licenses on http://ur1.ca/gb9h good enough? Is a separate incomplete list good?
-
@ovidius, a site encouraging rewrite of proprietary ones & vets license is definitely useful. Ideally, OO.o site would list only FaiF ones.
-
@bkuhn Maybe one could just ask OO.o to add a filter by license button, but I doubt that anyone asked them.
-
@ovidius, !fsf asked OO.o stop listing proprietary extensions. A warning window when proprietary plugins are installed would be good too.

@bkuhn While I strongly believe in FaiF I also believe in stuff that works. Sadly some FaiF supporters would call me evil because of that

@bkuhn Yes and I see that they cannot do that. My proposal was more modest. You could have linked to a filtered site then.
-
@bkuhn We should make people aware of the drift, not forbid it by calling names (like I feel many anti ubuntuone/novell sites/posts do)
-
@ovidius,I think both proposals are worth making to OO.o community; I will try to pass along your proposal to whoever is negotiating w/ them
-
@bkuhn Have you seen Jim Zemlin's videos contrasting RMS and Steve J? I am truly grateful to RMS, but the videos make an important point
-
@bkuhn You're just great. ;-)

@alisonchaiken, I commented on them already: ur1.ca/zpgb cutting together clips out of context to make fun of someone doesn't advance debate
-
@bkuhn The tin-foil part was a low blow, but the rest of the comparison contrasting marketing styles makes a valid point in my opinion.
-
@bkuhn But yes, I would like to have #ubuntuone FaiF-ed, but it seems there's only 36 of us (http://ur1.ca/jtnc)
-
@bkuhn Good post. I'm going to translate it (thank you for allowing me to spread the word by using BY-SA!) P.S. "this this new initiative".
-
@lamm they're always a lot of things to be translated. If you are interested, pleasse join GNU Spanish Translation team. It's really helpful
-
@bkuhn It's finally here http://wp.me/pImPT-5b .. "better late than never"? Could you please link to it?
-
@bkuhn Thank you. Yes, that's mainly my task as an FSF intern.
-
@osamak, thanks for your volunteer work to help !fsf ! The FSF was built on healthy volunteer effort & it can't exist without it.
