     @fta Indeed it works fine in other applications, but it seems Thunderbird is insistent on calling gnome-www-browser. ln -sf’ing it fixes it.

     @fta Just occurred to me that I’m actually using the 10.04 repo version, not the PPA version. (Was having lockup issues with the PPA.)

     @jeremyvisser: that's LP #571103, fixed in 5.0.375.29~r46008-0ubuntu1, just not in lucid yet
