Using Dropbox for backup and it's working beautifully. In GNU/Linux, it uses GNOME's Nautilus. Check it out: http://is.gd/rhX2 !gnome !fsf

@prosario2000 All we need is a !FSF kind of free Dropbox equivalent. Shouldn't be complex - perhaps possible for groups via torrent?
-
@mjjzf openSUSE already have something similar, which is GPL'd: http://www.ifolder.com/ifolder
-
@mjjzf Dropbox software for GNU/Linux is released under the GPL, the only thing that is not free are trademark related png images.

Any !linguists interested in cooperating on CC- or GFDL-licensed language teaching materials?
-
@mjjzf: Yeah, I noticed :P
-
@imag1narynumber: Join the dark side... we have De Raadt :P
-
@imag1narynumber Consider listening to the BSDTalk episode with the Marshall Kirk McKusick interview. Very interesting #BSD history lesson.
-
@mjjzf And decide which to try. At least NetBSD offers a LiveCD.
-
@imag1narynumber Did you have a look at DesktopBSD for a live incarnation of FreeBSD? Also, look at PC-BSD. Both rather pre-built, but good.
-
Just built and submitted a new #Gajim package for the Slackware !Slackbuilds. How lovely. Next, Midori.
-
@mjjzf No not yet, but I shall! Thanks.
-
@imag1narynumber Haha. I have both. Building !FreeBSD on a weak machine is a piece of work, !Slackware is easier there.
-
@imag1narynumber I use !Slackware as my main system - solid and transparent - but I like the freshness and optimization of !FreeBSD ports.
