do extremists only attract other extremists? can they hope to gain a wider audience for their cause or remain a niche movement?

@raster Get off of my lawn! Hippie.
-
@heygabe Dude, there's no do-overs!
-
@dashmybuttons Some of my best work is do-overs. I only have three schticks.
-
@raster I think they hinder their cause as they get more extremist. Their effectiveness goes down and their Wikipedia-ness goes up.
-
@heygabe I hope your schtick doesn't get schutck
-
@raster it's not clear what you mean be extremist. was Gandhi an extremist? Falwell? it seems to be a term only definable by context.
-
@raster One thing extremists can *sometimes* do is re-define the outer limit of their side of an issue, making less-extreme seem moderate.
-
@raster ...the context of public opinion. thereby making your question somewhat circular.
-
@raster Also, let's talk about somethign important. Why are there no Sailor Moon dvds on Netflix. That totally sucks.
-
@exador23 excellent... I was more interested in the reactions to the question than the answers themselves
-
@heygabe don't you have a manifesto to author?
-
@raster fanatics get a +4 to destroy other fanatic groups.
-
@evan asking again. When is a good time to enjoy Montréal and the Belle Province in the winter?
-
@evan Did anyone start work on twitter migration yet? I have some code (http://tinyurl.com/623hj7), but no time to do anything else with it.
-
@dorzey That's cool!
-
@evan What should I do with it though? I have no time to do anything else...seems a pity to waste what I have.
-
@notafish Probably best during the Winter Carnaval http://www.carnaval.qc.ca/ . Most wintry time!
