@ddevine ☛ so why the anti !kubuntu ☛bit, anyway?

@claydoh Buggiest distribution in the history of man kind. They use unsupported patches and then users expect upstream to support them.

@ddevine I suppose you have some evidence to back this otherwise laughable FUD? What patches in particular are causing overall bugginess?

      Sunday, 30-May-10 01:21:47 UTC
    • Clay Weber Clay Weber Daniel Devine

@ddevine wow I didn't know my day-to-day OS the past 5 years is so buggy, I must be missing something :( I call shenanigans

    • Daniel Devine Daniel Devine

@claydoh obviously depends on what you do with your computer. I have also noticed that #Ubuntu users seem to be very good at ignoring bugs.

@jontheechidna Ok, top of the pile... they recently had to make a patching policy to address all their buggy patches http://ur1.ca/04bbx

@ddevine ahhh it seems you are just a generalizing #hater, then :( Hope your attitude doesn't keep people away from !haikuos

    • Daniel Devine Daniel Devine Haiku Operating System

@claydoh Why did you send that to the !haikuos group? And why do you conclude that I am a generalizing hater? I made an observation.

@claydoh I can't help being an objective outsider.

@claydoh Why are you trying to deface me. I'm an active advocate of !haikuos. Don't understand your distro choice but its up to you.

@ddevine sorry I sent that, I should have used hashtags, but you did tell me I should not be using !kubuntu, that is NOT just an observation

@ddevine I am not, but you gave me a hard time about the OS I am an active advocate of, plus also being a #beos and !haikuos fan (since R5)

@ddevine and I don't understand your telling me to use a different distro, which is what started this all !redhairedstepchild

@ddevine In the History of Mankind? I'm afraid either your definition of "Ever" "History" and possibly "Mankind" must be severely off :)

@ddevine yes,I know it really started by my using dd when sleepy :) enough is enough though, I intend no hard feelings but why push buttons?

      Sunday, 30-May-10 02:46:53 UTC
    • Daniel Devine Daniel Devine

@claydoh I was aiming for the "just try something else" button (KDE + Fedora. Great distro, great community) but what you use is up to you.

@claydoh The damn identi.ca #limit140 is too small to convey things properly as well. What limit do you prefer? 280 is pretty good IMO.

      Sunday, 30-May-10 02:56:33 UTC
    • Clay Weber Clay Weber Daniel Devine

@ddevine #limit140 is too low sometimes, though it seems to work in most cases. I am not sure if 280 might be too high.

@ddevine That does not necessarily mean that any of them were buggy. Reviews are always good. Even other distros should review their patches

      Sunday, 30-May-10 03:14:13 UTC
    • Clay Weber Clay Weber Daniel Devine

@ddevine If I used another distro would you have said the same thing to me? Mention of kubuntu bring these sort of comments it seems, lately

      Sunday, 30-May-10 03:19:05 UTC
    • Clay Weber Clay Weber Daniel Devine

@ddevine so yeah, the #limit140 is too small :) I am off to bed, early day at work on Sunday :( sorry I let my buttons get me all worked up

      @claydoh Depends which distro. I don't bother #debian, #SuSE, #archlinux or even #pclos users much :p

@claydoh I think 240 or 220 might be the sweet spot. I had a play with http://280.status.net the other day. Just a *tiny* bit verbose.

@jontheechidna they do, and they also review the patches they get from us, and vice-versa. Ahh the unfounded fucktards crying about patches
