      @rpcutts I prefer to use GMPC, I even maintain some PPAs for it on launchpad. http://launchpad.net/~gmpc-trunk

      @ripps yea I like the look of it but I thought I could connect to MPD on another machine on my network and stream the music. apparently not

      @rpcutts You can, but you need to use a properly configured pulse, httpd, ice, etc to stream the audio. irc.freenode.net #mpd can help.

      @rpcutts Also, you'll need to have the gmpc-shout plugin installed for httpd/ice, as it's what plays the remote audio stream.

      @rpcutts sonata is my favorite !MPD client, simple, efficient. ncmpc is great as well but no graphical ;)
