     @carlg yes. it is easy to switch between desktop environments on login and removing KDE later if you dont want it via yum history undo

     @carlg Yes the package manager system in any Linux OS will let you do that. You can also set the default from the login screen.

     @gbraad there's some obscure package which creates gnome folder in kmenu, and KDE folder in GNOMe... I forget the name though
