I am thinking I'm going to have to set up a new dedicated server just to run Laconica and Jabber.

@christianburns Could be another summize, or somebody with massive db/infrastructure - but what about all the laconica instances w/o xmpp?

@leolaporte I ran into the same problem - let me see if I can figure out what the solution was.

@leolaporte You may be missing gettext support in your php install - do a "php -i | grep -i gettext" and see if it's enabled.
