!mercurial vs !git : is one better? ... matter of opinion? ... or like apples vs oranges?

@ghodmode emacs vs vim, like kde vs gnome, like exim vs postfix

@rhonda So you're saying it's easy to decide... because obviously vim > emacs, kde > gnome & postfix > exim ... Duh! :p

@ghodmode what factors define "better"? iirc hg has better windows integration, while git according to some sources is faster

@ghodmode I like !git because of "git rebase", hg can #gpg sign commits, which is what I miss in #git.

@tyll !git tags can get #gpg signed, at least.

@ghodmode I couldn't give you a rational reason for why I'm in the "hg camp". It was the first dvcs I encountered, and I stuck with it ^^

@tyll you can sign !git tags which are simply pointers to commits. I only need signing for release version that have tags anyway

@ghodmode obviously !Mercurial is superior, but its really a matter of how you want to manage branches of your code

@ghodmode From what i know, git wins hands down in large repos. Mercurial is a lil bit easier is what i hear as well. I'm sticking to Git.
