      @reality @laurelrusswurm Having used both at reasonable length, I'd suggest looking at Docbook before throwing yourself into LaTeX.

      @laurelrusswurm It's easy to write, easy to keep in version control, and keeps the styling separate from the content.

      @laurelrusswurm Plus having co-authored a book using it, I had fewer annoyances than with LaTeX (PhD thesis) or word processors in the past.

      @mcepl Thanks. My "version control" has always been manually renaming "save as" but can see advantage in having it do that automatically
