@mjray: Be aware that django-cms relies on an old Mootools, and Mootools is only nominally free software (there are copyright issues).

@oddbloke What do you recommend for someone with basic html understanding looking to get into web design now? CSS, PHP, dreamweaver? & CMS?
-
@kemp: What is 'web design'? Styling existing websites requires a good grip of CSS and HTML. If you mean web coding, it's a harder question.
-
@oddbloke I'm most interested in the most time efficient way of building and having the program or outsourcing do the coding work. Advice?
-
@kemp: There are plenty of places that will write a website for you. It's really dependent on what you want and how much you want to spend.
-
@oddbloke thanks for the mootools headsup. Hadn't spotted that. If you were starting again, what would you use?
-
@mjray: I don't really know, I haven't had to look for another one since we plumped for django-cms.
-
@oddbloke try looking at !django-blocks http://code.google.com/p/django-blocks/ another !django cms
-
@mjray: RD "@kimus: @oddbloke try looking at django-blocks http://code.google.com/p/django-blocks/ another django cms"
-
@mjray: !django-blocks it's more complete than !django-cms IMO i'm using it in linux.pt, ubuntu-pt.org, etc. I can provide a relase
-
@kimus I'd be interested in that. snapshot would be OK for now if release is reasonably soon.
