@pm Would you recommend ext4? I am still afraid of using it.
-
@p248 nah, just messing with @heavensrevenge
-
@p248 I'm using an ext4 root right now, i havent cared to try a ext4 /boot but my whole system is quite nice how it is, and very responsive
-
@heavensrevenge I might consider using an ext4 root, but I don't think I'll want to switch to an ext4 home directory.
-
@edythemighty Oh, okay. I thought I could jump in a flame war or something.
-
@p248 lol your considering it sort of backwards :P but im simply expecting you have a backup of /home for me to lol@u
-
@heavensrevenge I can always install Linux again, but I am pretty sure I can never completely replicate my hundreds of pictures/documents.
-
@p248 yeah I was afraid for a while, but with 2.6.29 and good backups, i'm ready to try it
-
@pm I have backups, but haven't really reached a "good backup" solution. What would you recommend?
-
@p248 bah, i'm using rdiff-backup to do incremental backups every week on my 1 TB external drive. Good enough for me
