I don't like to talk to much about uniforms, but I hated the old United uniforms. glad they got rid of that stupid black stripe

@dougsportazine 'uniform' is 'strip' or 'kit' in UK. Solidiers and sailors wear uniforms, not footballers.

@andyc "Kit" in the US is half of a delicious chocolate/wafer confection, fyi. I'm not sure if the chocolate is "kit" or "kat" though.

@andyc Oddly, yes, unless they're removing their uniforms, "strip" is going to be a head-scratcher here.

@andyc kit is a word we're familiar with over here, but strip, not familiar with that in this context. What've you thought of pre-season?

@dougsportazine Only seen United's 3 goals against Celtic. I don't tend to watch any of the pre-season money making fixtures.

@andyc have you seen highlights from last night? A couple of nice goals, but mostly poor defending from a thrown together team w/o Donovan

@andyc well, Donovan did make a cameo late, but he had played the night before in a competitive match so he was mostly walking around pitch
