@eightyeight !freenode has really been going downhill for a few years. That plus their lack of !xmpp support is driving us away.

@eightyeight ideally an #ircd running in their network would translate the rooms to standard !xmpp MUC which is reachable via S2S !freenode

@eightyeight nope. i don't think any of them has that feature and since !freenode is running their own i'd best be added there

@tobiasfar @eightyeight xmpp irc transport already exists, talkr.im has it enabled if you want to try it. Works well.
