@alisonchaiken, Yeah, although it's tough when FLOSS always much play catch-up to proprietary stuff. I like Lennart's #SystemD project, BTW

@bkuhn I've heard Apple contributes code to GCC. Apple and Oracle prolly have lots of FLOSS contributors. Apple supports CUPS & zfs too

@alisonchaiken, #Apple *used* to contribute to #GCC. They've moved engineers from it over to #LLVM. Apple *owns* CUPS: different thing.

@alisonchaiken,CUPS was !GPL'd. #Apple hated that. Apple bought all copyrights on it & hired dev. CUPS is not a community project. #OpenCore

@bkuhn Ok,then it is as OpenCore as QT was before.I'm thinking of OpenCore as an open core plus proprietary premium addons, which CUPS isn't
